The previous year, 2021, was full of challenges and changes for the greater Olney community. Although all GOCA monthly meetings were virtual, we continued to ensure members of the Olney community had a voice at both the county and state levels by providing multiple opportunities for members of the Olney community to be heard on local issues. We are fortunate to be well represented in Annapolis by our district 14 and 19 teams who engage with GOCA by attending meetings regularly.
The objectives of GOCA are to study, plan, coordinate, and promote the overall civic, economic, ecologic, and cultural welfare of the community within the Olney Master Plan Area. GOCA representatives try to connect with local officials and seek support for Olney’s issues. We will continue to communicate with those around the county who make Montgomery county a wonderful place to live.
